winter x games

i just finished watching the first night of this years winter x games live from aspen colorado, and i found something to make me mad which was how the winner of the big air competition was decide by votes from americans using text messaging. This may sound like a cool idea at first by letting the fans be more of a part of the event. but you could vote for one person as many time as you as you like. i tested this by voting for the same person ten times. also you where able to vote for the person before they even did there there trick. so instead of the contest being decide by a panel of judges it was all decide by people who could text message the fastest. After you vote you received a text message to a internet link to espn.com. so why you are watching one form of media you are being told to use another form of media. so in all i thought it was cool to be able to be a part of the contest but i don't think the fans should have choose the winner overall.
